Un mois...

//. Les 4 prochaines semaines vont etre occupées! J'ai mes deux derniers cours d'acting, et je dois présenter un cours monologue devant le groupe pour le cours final. Je l'ai déja appris par coeur pas mal, reste juste a etre convainquant! Ensuite je m'en vais a Londres pour visiter une collegue de travail qui a quitté il y a quelques mois, mais aussi, pour voir Wicked! WIIICKEEEEED!

Au studio, j'ai recu un ptit travail en plus. Je dois produire une "E-Card" de noel pour une compagnie de verification alimentaire. Ca va faire changement et j'ai de la conception a faire, alors c'est bon! Dernierement, nous allongeons les épisodes déja terminés car notre nouveau narrateur est en général plus lent que notre narrateur temporaire l'était, donc il faut gosser avec les scenes pour allonger le tout de 20 secondes environ. Mais c'est tellement mécanique que ca fait du bien de faire ca aussi. Je peux écouter de la musique sans probleme et c'est relaxe!

Je vais aussi aller a quelques soirées organisées par mon groupe de comédie musicale afin de ne pas perdre contact. Malheureusement je pourrai pas voir le DVD avec eux car jai mon cours final d'acting la meme journee, meme heure, vraiment moche....

A part de ca (et SURTOUT) ben je me pointe dans la belle province le 23. J'ai TELLEMENT hate c'est fou! Ma famille, mes amis! Ouf ca va faire du bien!!! Enfin, a bientot!

//. The next 4 weeks are going to be busy after all! I have two acting courses left and I have to learn a monologue by heart and play it in front of the group for the final evaluation. I now it already by heart, just need to be convincing enough now! I am also going to London to visit a work colleague that left a few months ago and also to see Wicked... WIIIICKEEEEEED!!!

At the studio, I received a small assignment over the usual stuff. I need to create a Christmas E-Card for a Food Safety company. It will make a good change since I have some designing to do... Otherwise we are lenghtening the past episodes as our new narrator speach is slower... just 20 seconds but still!

I will also have a few nights out with the people from my musical society, unfortunately I won't assist the DVD night as my final lesson of acting is at exactly the same time... crap!

And finaly, I am coming back to Montreal on the 23rd of december!!! I am extatic about it, can't wait to see my family and friends! See you!

Chess, la finale!

//. Bon alors voila, la finale était samedi passé. Tout est terminé maintenant. La premiere a été pas mal difficile, j'ai fait une erreur gigantesque comme lors de la premiere du spectacle du Lyric, mais bon, c'est la vie haha! Le show s'est amélioré au fur et a mesure et vendredi et samedi il était vraiment excellent!! Nous avons eut droit a une ovation complete (ce qui est plus rare ici qu'a montréal m'a-t-on dit) alors on était vraiment content de notre performance! Je vais revenir avec un DVD et un programme du spectacle. Le groupe va se rassembler bientot pour visionner le DVD tous ensemble et rire de nos erreurs, ca va etre bien haha! Je jasais avec les gens la bas et j'ai réalisé que contrairement au Lyric, je ne reviendrai pas dans ce groupe la, alors mon départ du groupe est plus significatif pour moi et ca va etre étrange... Enfin, j'ai acquis beaucoup d'expérience, personnelle et "professionnelle" si on peut dire et je considere franchement continuer dans cette branche la pour mon futur. On verra a mon retour ; ) La il faut que je me trouve de quoi faire les soirs de semaines parce que ca fait un trou gigantesque haha! Je réécris sous peu! Salut!

//. Here it is, the final performance was last saturday night, it is all finished now. The opening night was quite difficult and messy and I made a huge mistake like on the opening of the Lyric Show... oh well, that's life I guess! But then the show got better and better and Friday and Staurday were awesome performances!!! We even received a complete standing ovation on the finale!!! What a rush of adrenaline! We were all so happy with our performance, it was a very strong feeling! I will come back with the program and DVD of the show. The group will also gather again to watch the DVD together and have a good laugh at our mistakes! I was talking with friends at the closing party, and I realized that contrarily to the Lyric, my departure is official and there will be no come back and that makes it even more significant in a way, it is weird to know that I will probably not see anyone after that... Finally, I acquires lots of experience, personal and "professional" (if I can say that) and I really consider going in that direction for my future. I'll see when I'll be back home haha ; ) Now I really need to find some activities to do during my week nights. I'll post soon enough, see you!

Les Falaises de Moher

//.Alors voila la deuxieme partie de notre petit séjour a Doolin. Nous sommes embarqué en bateau pour aller voir les fameuses falaises a partir de la mer! C'était le dernier tour et donc au lieu de faire un aller-retour, le bateau continuait apres les falaises jusqu'a Liscannor, une petite ville dans la baie au sud de Doolin. La, une mini-van nous a ramené a notre B&B. Mais encore mieux, vu que c'était le dernier tour, et bien nous n'étions que 6 dans le bateau (le tour d'avant, il y avait une vingtaine de passagers!). Nous avons aussi eu droit a une percée de soleil alors qu'il se couchait, donnant une teinte dorée au roc. C'était superbe! Voila les photos!

//.Second part of our trip in Doolin. We took a boat tour of the famous cliffs, and it was the last of the tours for the day, so instead of returning to Doolin, we continued towards the Shannon Bay into Liscannor where a minivan took us back to our B&B. But even better, since it was the last tour, we were only 6 people on board (at least 20 persons were on the boat in the previous tour!). We also had the chance of having a bit of sun when it was setting. It gave a nice golden tint to the cliffs and it was amazing! Here are the pictures!



//.Voici une petite ile a pein au large du quai d'embarquement. Il y avait une espece de petit autel/sanctuaire dessus, je ne sais pas trop de quoi il s'agissait. La rive était composée d'un gros promontoire rocheux assez particulier. Les rochers sont tres lisses et fissurés. Ca ressemble un peu aux pierres dans le Burren.

//.That's a small island right offshore from the harbour. There's a little rock construction, sanctuary or altar of some sort, I am not sure. The coast is made of the same kind of rock as in the Burren, very soft but cracked and separated in huge slabs of stone.

Doolin et le Burren!

//.Des photos! Mais quelle denrée rare depuis quelques semaines hen! Donc ma charmante mere est venue me visiter la fin de semaine passée. J'avais déja planifié notre voyage. Nous sommes donc partis samedi vers Doolin, un tout petit village (plus petit que Dingle meme!) qui succombe malheureseument a sa popularité touristique... Néanmoins, ce fut génial! Il n'y avait pas trop de visiteurs (hors-saison) et donc c'était agréable. Nous avons aussi visiter le Burren, nom donné a la région rocheuse-gazonneuse dont la végétation est a la fois méditerranéenne et arctique du comté de Clare! Nous sommes aussi allé voir les falaises de Moher, en bateau! C'était fascinant! Alors je cesse le bavardage pour les photos, commentées bien entendu!

//.Pictures! Finally after a few weeks without them. My mother came to visit me this weekend, I had already planned a trip in the countryside and so we left on saturday for Doolin in county Clare. Even smaller than Dingle, this little town on the west border of Ireland unfortunately is loosing some of its authenticity, victim of its tourism propularity. Nevertheless, there wasn't a lot of people since it is off-season. We had a guided tour of the Burren, region noted for its rocky-grassy landscape carven by long-gone glaciers and flora, quite peculiar as it is a mix of mediterranean and arctic, unique in the world. We also went to observe the fabulous Cliffs of Moher, by boat! Astounding, really! I'll stop the chit-chat for the pictures, duely commented of course!



//.Quelques photos de Doolin. Vraiment charmant comme village! Les gens y partagent des terres dans le Burren pour l'élevage de boeufs. On y peche cependant pas vraiment d'apres ce qu'on a pu voir, étrange étant si pres de la cote!

//.A few shots of Doolin. Really charming! The inhabitants share the land in the Burren to take care of the cattle, mainly beef. As far as we know, they didn't seem to fish at all in the area, which is uncommon for a coastal village.

//.Voici un cimetiere de Doolin. Le plus ancien avec les ruines de la chapelle au centre. Un autre cimetiere se trouve un peu plus loin, plus moderne et plus grand a coté de la nouvelle église, elle aussi plus moderne et large.

//.This is one of the cemetery in DOolin, the oldest one I think with the chapel's ruin in the centre. Another more modern and wide cemetary is a bit farther in land, beside a more modern and larger church as well.




//.Voici quelques photos du paysage du Burren. Les glaciers ont sculpté les pierres et le sol a la fin de l'ere glaciere européenne. Les vents forts et constants ont aussi participés a la création de ce décor en affutant le roc. Il est donc facile d'identifier la direction de ces vents car les pierres ont un coté tranchant et l'autre plat et brut. De grosses tranches de pierres se succedent et de la végétation pousse entre elles et au-dessus. C'est vraiment particulier comme endroit!

//.Here are a few pictures of the Burren. The glaciers sculpted the rocks and the ground at the end of the european ice age. The strong and continuous winds helped forge the landscape by eroding the stones. It is easy to know where the dominant wind comes from as one side of the rocks are sharp and shear and the other, blunt and flat. Large slabs of rock line up one after another with plants growing between and over them. It is a really particular site (and sight!).



//.Voici l'entrée d'un souterrain qui servait a conserver la nourriture il y a de cela plusieurs centaines d'années. Eparpillé a travers la région, on peut voir des restants de forteresses circulaires et d'habitations de pierre.

//.Here's the entrance of a subterranean food storage. It was used hundreds of years ago when people lived in circular forts and stone houses, of which only remnants and ruins can be found across the Burren.



//.Sur la partie la plus pres de la mer, la vegetation disparassait et seul un gros promontoire rocheux s'étendait jusqu'a la rive. Encore une fois, fissuré et crevassé, mais les vagues ont élargi les fentes comme celle-ci, la plus large de la région. C'était impressionnant et étourdissant de voir la mer aller-et-venir, les vagues frappant les parois laissant un gros splash dans le airs.

//.Nearest to the ocean side, the vegetation disappeared and only stone remained. Again, fissured and cracked, but the waves widened them, like this one, the largest of the area. It was quite impressing and dizzying to watch the sea come in and out, the waves crashing against the walls with a huge splash.



//.Pour finir cette partie, voici un exemple de la flore qui pousse dans le Burren. Des plantes arctiques cotoient d'autres méditerranéennes, unique au monde semble-t-il! Prochain post: Les falaises de Moher!
